Overview

These terms govern your use of Matchi, a desktop application for AI-powered financial reconciliation. By using Matchi, you agree to these terms.

Service Description

Matchi is a desktop tool that helps finance teams reconcile datasets using AI. It is not financial advice, audit software, or a substitute for professional accounting judgment. Reconciliation results should always be reviewed by qualified personnel before taking action.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Matchi. If you are using Matchi on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Accounts & Authentication

Matchi Free requires Google Sign-In for authentication, which is handled by Supabase Auth using Supabase's own Google OAuth integration. This is separate from the Google Sheets integration OAuth flow described in our Privacy Policy.

Google Sheets integration uses a separate Google OAuth flow under our control and requests read-only access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.readonly) to your spreadsheets. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. BYOK users are responsible for their own API keys and compliance with their AI provider's terms of service.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

When using BYOK, you connect directly to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or custom endpoints). Your relationship with these providers is governed by their respective terms. Matchi is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, pricing, or conduct of third-party AI services. API keys are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to Matchi.

Matchi Free Tier

Matchi Free provides AI-powered reconciliation at no cost using our hosted model. Fair use applies — excessive automated or abusive usage may result in rate limiting or account suspension. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the Free tier at any time with reasonable notice. No uptime or availability guarantees are provided for the Free tier.

Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you process through Matchi. We do not access, collect, or claim any rights to your financial data. Reconciliation results, saved recipes, and application configurations belong entirely to you.

Intellectual Property

Matchi and its source code, design, brand assets, and documentation are the property of Matchi's creators. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application for its intended purpose. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or create derivative works from Matchi.

Third-Party Terms

By using Google Sheets integration, you agree to be bound by Google's Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. By using Matchi Free, you agree to Supabase's Terms of Service. Use of AI providers is subject to their respective terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Matchi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that reconciliation results are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for verifying all results before relying on them for business decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Matchi and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the application. This includes, but is not limited to, financial losses resulting from reconciliation errors, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Matchi in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Matchi at any time by uninstalling the application. We may suspend or terminate your Free tier access if you violate these terms or engage in abusive usage. Upon termination, your local data remains on your device — we have no ability to access or delete it.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Matchi after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via the application.
